"Im sorry I dont have much faith in the testing methods of doctors" he was making a reference to the infected that had killed his friend

She frowned, "Testing at the gate is rushed and sometimes not done right at the hospital we do everything 100% right and more then once."

"So ive seen" he said coldly, his friends death had played on him deeply, since that guy was his only friend in the whole city

"Fine why dont we just go kill the guy and lose the chance of ever finding a cure." She said defencively.

"Lock him up... till your 100% sure" he didnt care, he didnt care if the whole place burned, "Its better then what the crazys will do to him"

"I am 100% sure." She said and pulled out a smoke. "You know your not the only one to have lost a friend or coworker or family. Me being around these people all day put not only myself at risk but everone around me if i fuck up. I just want to find a cure and end this all." she lit her smoke and took a long drag from it.

he put his 9mm on the table "You ever gone into the wasteland to rescue stranded?... had to fight the bastards with your bare hands?... End of the day you try to save people and I do"

She looked away from him, "Ever had to kill a mother and her child because they had been bitten?" She asked with hurt in her voice. "If... If i had just found a cure i could have saved them insted...but no this is so fucked up. we have to become emotionless animals to live in the world... my father went out into the waste lands to save some people... I had to kill him when he came back infected..."

"... Im sorry...I killed my family too..." he had never told anyone this all

She whipped away a tear that had started to fall down her cheek. "At the end of the day where all fucked." she said flicking her smoke into the sink and walking out of the kichen.

he just sat there, kicking himself for starting an argument

She came back with a file. "Here if you want to kill the closest thing we have to a cure here he is." She said handing him Hana's file.

he looked at it "Fuck it... They dont pay me enough" he smiled slightly

She smiled at him and put the file on the table and leaned in. "Your strange but i'm glad i met you." she said and kissed him softly.

he was slightly shocked then happy...then red in the face

She backed away blushing a deep red. "Sorry..." She said shyly.

"No need" he smiled and stood " I should get going...they close the barracks soon...an if I dont wanna sleep on the street I better amscray"

She thought about it for a moment, "you could just say the night." She said shyly. "Theres a extra bedroom."

he smiled "Cool... Thankyou"

She blushed slightly mentally kicking herself she should have just let him go. but she like being around him she felt stuppid for asking him to stay. "Its just down the hall, first door on your left..."

"Ah ok...and wheres your room?" he said looking at her, he had looked at the a fore mentioned hall

"Across the hall on the right..." She asked looking at him with a raised eyebrow. "why?"

"Dont wanna accidently stumble in" he shrugged

"Riiight." She said nodding, "I'm gonna go do some work. Make yourself at home." She said taking the file off the table and heading to her home office that was down the next to her room.

he went to the fridge and poured a cup of water and sat, smiling a bit looking around
