Testing then leaving.

The hospital didn't have many people ill mostly new comers being tested. She went to the lobby planing on headed home for the night to get some much need sleep. She handed the blood samples to the nurse and waved bye as she walked outside.

Marshal was finishing a smoke outside when he turned around and bumped into stef. "Oh sorry"

She smiled and shook her head, "Its fine dont worry about it." She said and then smiled more bightly. "I remember you i was the one that tested you when you came to the city."

"Ah yeah... Im marshal" he blushed slightly, one fact was Medical staff as high up as her had seniority over military personal as well

"What brings you to the hospital? are you sick?" she asked slightly worried.

"No I was escorting those new guys... M'am" he said after he took one last drag and threw the butt away

She nodded, "Well thanks." she said laughing nervously. "are you off duty now?"

"Will be... Just gotta get the heads up there clean" he said slightly nervous

"Oh that should take a few moments..." she said and smiled shyly. "I was going to the coffee shop on my way home would you like to join me?"

"Ah yeah that would be great" he grinned

"Your names John right?" she asked, "but i hear people call you Caine."

"Yeah" he laughed slightly "Yeah people call me that" he smiled looking at his feet

"Why?" She asked trying to make small talk be felt like she was failing big time.

"Well two reasons.. One I killed my brothers and two I killed the zombie of michael caine" he laughed looking at her, he was a little shy

She looked at him with a raised eyeborw for a moment wondering if he was serous then she laughed lightly. "Do you like the Military?"

"Hay its a job an Im good at it.... You like being a doctor?"

"Its a job and I'm good at it." She said smiling. "If they didn't need me i'd probably be working at a desk job, being lazy."

he laughed lightly "And no I wasnt joking bt the way... I really did kill michael caine" he couldnt help but smile

She laughed and a nurse ran out of the hospital. "DOCTOR #4 is infected!" The lady yelled. "Shit." Stefany said and ran into the hospital as the person from #4 ripped the arm off one of the military men garuding the rooms. Stefany pulled out her gun that had been strapped to her leg.

Caine had run into the room he unholstered his weapon and shot the subject in the head "Fuck!" he said seeing the wounded now infected soldier was one of his friends

Stefany shot the infected military man as he turned into a zombie. "Call the cleaning crew." She told the nurse as she put her gun away.

"Just fuckin great" he kicked the soldiers leg and stormed out of the room

"Caine..." She said fallowing after him. "These things happen we cant always tell whos infected. I was just in the room with that person and i thought they were all clear. I didn't see the bite marks or anything. This is why we have the prosses we do."

he was angry "But now I gotta go tell his wife and 4 year old what the fuck went wrong"

She stopped breathing for a moment. She never thought of that the family she had pulled the trigger without a thought. She killed him and all she thought was he had been infected. "...I'm sorry..." She said and walked passed him going to her office she would not leave untill she found a way to help them. A way to stop infection.
